Afternoon in Indonesia

Me & Indonesian Dancers
Those who know me know travel is one of my passions. Yesterday, I took a brief trip to Indonesia without need of a airline ticket or passport. One of my neighbor's, Barbara Haines Howett, provided all who attended her event a complete Indonesian experience---music, dance, and food. The highlight of the afternoon was her reading excerpts from her book, Ladies Of The Borobudur, a famous hotel that provided temporary housing for ex-patriots settling in Indonesia.

An accomplished writer and world traveler, Mrs. Haines-Howett spent four years in Indonesia. Her book is a novel about some of her experiences while living in there. It was a afternoon well spent learning things I didn't know about Indonesia.

Add some adventure to your life. Traveling doesn't always mean leaving town or the country. There's so much to do and learn. Remember, only you can make yourself a priority.
