Love & Health

Love is a very strong emotion that can represent kindness, affection and compassion. It can also be a major contributing factor to the overall health of our mind, body, and spirit. There are several ways love can benefit your health:
1. Love can improve self-esteem, leading to better self-care. When you love yourself you are
more likely to make better choices that contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

2. Love is a great stress reducer. Love encourages the body to produce the "feel good" hormone, Oxytocin---can reduce cardiovascular stress  & improve the immune system.

3. Love can decrease anxiety and ward off depression. According to a study at Ohio Sate University College of Medicine, people who are lonely are more prone to viruses than those who are well connected.
