Tis the season for visiting relatives, getting together with friends, office parties. All these usually mean lots more food and things we might not eat during the rest of the year. Good food and lots of it is the way most people celebrate the holidays. The following are 5 tips to help you thrive not just survive the season:
- Eat more vegetables, especially dark leafy greens. They are full of antioxidants.
- Eat more citrus. Lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit are all packed with Vitamin C.
- Get more rest. This may seem impossible but try to get in at least 8 hours (this one is a real challenge for me).
- Don't forfeit your exercise. I know everyone is busier but at least 30-minutes a day will help minimize stress. Take a quick walk, jumping jacks, something! You can use that indoor walking video I sent you. Even if you can't do something everyday, try to get in something.
- Drink more water. Divide you body weight in half and that is the number of fluid ounces of water that is recommended (100 lbs. person needs 50 ounces of water). Hydration helps flush toxins out of your system.
Have a blessed day,
Jacqueline
