The Juice Report

Victory is Mine
Well everybody. I did it! Three whole days on juice alone. The first two days were fine. It was the third day that was the ultimate challenge. I was invited to a birthday party at one of my favorite restaurant's, Island Soul. I had my delicious green juice drink before I got there. Friends, you would be proud. I was able to sit at the table with 10 other people, surrounded by spicy chicken wings (my personal favorite), fried cat fish with collard greens & Jamaican jerk chicken with yams. Believe or not, I wasn't even tempted. I didn't eat one thing but instead sipped on my glass of cranberry juice. If you don't believe me, my dear friend DeCarla is my witness. Here's what I drank for 3-days:

Day 1 - Wednesday, November 7, 2012 - Morning & Afternoon
Juiced - 5 celery stalks, 1 bunch of kale, 1/2 bunch of parsley, 1 green apple, 1 pear, fresh ginger to taste, juice of 2 limes and
1 cup of coconut water.

Evening - Juiced
25 baby carrots, 2 green apples, 5 celery stalks, 1 bunch of kale,
juice of 2 limes, ginger of taste.

Day 2 - Thursday, November 8, 2012 -  Morning & Afternoon
Same as evening above

Day 3 - Friday, November 9, 2012 - Morning & Afternoon
Same as evening above plus 2 glasses of cranberry juice

Evening - Juiced
25-30 baby carrots, 2 pears, 1 bunch of kale, 1 bunch of parsley,
1 medium-sized beet, juice of 2 limes.

Another friend, Debrena, has invited me to join her in doing 3 days.
We haven't set the dates yet but I'm up for the challenge. This woman
is "drunk on juice."

Have a blessed day,

Jacqueline
