Cheryl and I have been friends since the 2nd grade. Yes, it's hard for us to believe too!
I was so excited when she said she was coming to visit me here in Seattle (she lives in Oakland, CA). She came up on the train Wednesday evening and flew back Sunday afternoon. According to her, the train ride was so fabulous I think I'll try it on one of my visits to the Bay Area.
I thought we were going to have more time to hang out but it's true, time does fly when you're having fun; so much laughing, talking and eating! We did our best to make the most of the time we had. The pictures above are us at Jazz Alley last Thursday evening; we went to see Brian Culbertson. Mr Culbertson and his band put on a fantastic show so we really had a great time.
I read once where people who maintain close friendships live longer. If that's true, Cheryl and I should live for a long, long time. The beauty of being in the company of old friends is the comfort felt with "just being you."
Good friends are a valuable asset so if you are fortunate enough to have a few really good ones, treasure them & consider yourself blessed.

Together we thrive,

I'm glad you two enjoyed your time together! How sweet! My bestie has been in my life since the 2nd grade too!
