Jacqueline's Journal - The Bridal Shower

 I've come to Oakland to attend the wedding of one of my life-long friend's, daughter. Cheryl and I have known each other since 2nd grade. Her daughter, Nataki, is "jumping the broom" on Sunday, July 28th. I am beyond excited for her and wanted to get here to participate in as many of the pre-wedding activities as possible. 

The entire theme of the wedding is travel. The shower invitation looked like a passport and the bridal shower was a "day in Paris." Cheryl's sister-in-law, Janice, did a fabulous job on the shower. It was everything Paris, Eiffel Tower pictures and center-pieces, the food, assorted cheeses, french bread & grapes for appetizers to quiche and breast-of-chicken cordon bleu for the entree.

Everything was delicious. More importantly, there was a great group of women there to extend their well-wishes to Nataki. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside in Janice's  beautiful backyard.
