Jacqueline's Journal ~ City by the Bay

Here comes our train!
Rockridge Station, Oakland, CA
I think I mentioned  I intend to be a tourist while I'm in the Bay Area. Even though I grew up here, there are so  many sites I haven't seen in years. That being said, I started my sightseeing adventures last Sunday by taking B.A.R.T (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to San Francisco with my friend, Judy.

We got to the City, stood in line with the other tourist to ride the cable car to Ghiradelli Square, walked through the square and The Cannery, people watched, and had lunch; all the the good things you do when sightseeing. So much has changed, I hardly recognized the area.

On our cable car ride back we hopped off on Nob Hill to treat ourselves to a glass on wine at The Fairmont Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in San Francisco. Fabulous. A beautiful, elegant place. A real treat!

You might think about playing tourist in your hometown. You don't always have to travel to take yourself away!

Self-care = Self-love.

Together we thrive,

Jacqueline
