I've talked about the power of intention, the steps to setting your intentions, and given you some tools that hopefully inspire you to get started, if you haven't already. Now I'd like to say something about setting a Theme for your new year.
Having a theme sets the tone for how you want to live your life. One example could be Grace, which I define as moving through your life with the mindset of ease. No, I'm not suggesting you won't have challenges but if your intention is to live your life with ease & grace, you are more likely to respond than react to the challenge.
One year my theme was Engagement. I defined engagement as being more active participant in my life (not just coasting through it). It meant reincorporating things I enjoyed but, for whatever reason, I hadn't done in ages and trying out some new things.
Another year I choose Staying my Lane as a theme. This meant not feeling the need to save or rescue anyone nor offer unsolicited advice--aka--minding my own business! Anyone who knows me can tell you I'm a loyal friend but I felt the need to establish clearer boundaries.
2014's theme is Soulicious. Mindful consideration will be given to everything I think, speak or participate in, making sure whatever it is comes from and speaks to my heart and soul.
If you've never created a theme I encourage you to try it. It can be anything You want so try not to over-think it.
To Infinite Possibilities,
Jacqueline
