FACE The Facts

This week it’s all about the FACE. Today you’re getting juicy information on nature-based products, Wednesday is all about identifying your skin type & choosing the right products, Thursday, the value & importance of a morning & evening routine, and I’ll finish up on Friday with, vitamins that support healthier skin. You won’t want to miss this. OK, let’s get started!

Our skin shows the world the state of our overall health. Glowing, radiant skin is a sign of good health, vitality and self-care. Tired, dull-looking skin indicates an unhealthy lifestyle, stress and lack of overall care.

There are many factors that can contribute to unhealthy looking skin; a poor diet, environmental factors such as the chemicals that we breathe into our systems---car emissions, carbon monoxide, detergents, cleaning products, etc. Some of these factors are beyond our control but there are some things we can do. First, we have to take a serious look at what we eat. Studies show that a nutritionally rich diet actually slows down the ageing processes in all our tissues, including the skin. Eating a balanced diet that includes a healthy protein, essential fatty acids along with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables is essential for overall health which includes healthier skin.

Using nature-based products is another step in the right direction. Why nature-based you may ask? Our skin is the largest organ on the body and often the most neglected. Many products contain chemicals that can irritate or rob the skin of its natural moisture. Products that contain parabens, GMOs (genetically modified organisms), petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, and synthetic dyes that can be absorbed into the blood stream should be avoided.

It is also a good idea to use skincare products from the same line. I know it’s easy to collect numerous skincare products but it’s not an effective way to care for your skin. You may be using different products that contain the same ingredients or you may use products that are incompatible which could lead to a negative skin reaction. It’s better to use one line that has a range of products for all your skincare needs.

Finally! Why I recommend nature-based products. Traditional herbs, botanicals and essential oils have been used as beauty aids for thousands of years by cultures all over the world. Soul Purpose Nurture Skincare Line has borrowed from some of that wisdom to develop a beautiful collection of skin-care and body-care products for women and men of every ethnicity. Only the finest ingredients—antioxidants, botanicals, essential oils, fruit acids, minerals & vitamins go into this exquisite line of products so you can feel good about using them and get the results you want too.

Remember to stay tuned for all you ever wanted to know about taking the best care of your skin from head to toe!

Self-care = Self-love

Together we thrive,

 Jacqueline
