She was definitely “one-of-a-kind.”
What one might call a self-made woman. She only had a high-school education
but never let that be a deterrent. She
was extremely creative and had impeccable taste and style. No matter what her budget,
she knew how to make things beautiful. We always had fresh flowers in our house
(even in the bathroom). She loved to entertain (Thanksgiving was always my favorite),
and my mother loved fashion. She definitely knew how to dress! She wore
high-heels well into her eighties! She was an active member of her church and belonged to a few civic and social clubs; she was a "people person."
Thelma Nash-Harris believed that living well was her divine
birthright, and thank God, she passed some of that on to me. She was the epitome
of a D.I.V.A. -- Divine, Intelligent, Victorious, and Authentic. She made her transition on February 16, 2011
but her spirit will forever live in my heart. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
Together we thrive,

Mrs. Harris has always been a BEAUTIFUL woman both inside an out. You are blessed to have had this life to share with her.
