The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires food manufacturers to list the most common ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction.
The top eight are:
- Milk
- Eggs
- Peanuts
- Tree Nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts)
- Fish (bass, cod, flounder)
- Shellfish (such as crab, lobster, shrimp)
- Soy
- Wheat
The foods listed above account for approximately 90 percent of all allergic reactions. Reading your food labels will ensure your safety and the safety of your family.
Self-care = Self love.
Together we thrive,
Jacqueline
