I'm really trying to incorporate more juicing into my lifestyle. After talking with my neighbor, Lloyd, yesterday, I'm convinced it would be beneficial. He juices exclusively (no solid food or meat) and gets his protein by eating eggs 3 times a week. While I admire his commitment, I'm not going that far, OK! My intention is to juice a minimum of 3 times a week and I'm working up to that! He did give me a tip that I want to pass on. You can use frozen vegetables; I've been using fresh. While we all would probably agree that fresh is better, frozen works and is a little more economical too. Be sure to check your juicer's manual to make sure your juicer can handle frozen vegetables. For the best results:
- Let your vegetable/fruit thaw a bit before putting them into your juicer
- Feed vegetables/fruits into your juicer in small pieces. This will minimize damaging your juicer.
- If your juice is to thick, add a little water to thin your drink
If you get a chance, please check out the DVD "Fat, Sick & Almost Dead." It may help you decide to add juicing into your eating program. Remember, we are what we eat. Nurture yourself from
the inside to the skin side.
Have a blessed day,
Jacqueline
