Thriving Not Surviving

I met my friend ShaRon at church Sunday, The Center for Spiritual Living. It was the first Sunday of their prosperity program, "Together We Thrive" (October 14 through November 4th). The topic Sunday was "What is Thriving". I usually take notes when I attend church so I can reflect back on what was said and glean anything that speaks to me personally. I am a firm believer in incorporating things I feel enhance the quality of my life sooner than later. Sunday was no exception. Here are a few things I jotted down that really spoke to me:
  • Thriving happens naturally when we're in the right environment. Fear, comparing ourselves to others, feeling less than are not conducive to thriving.
  • We must turn our focus towards thriving. Give your God-given gifts regardless of who may accept them.
  • When we give our gifts we automatically thrive!
  • Don't wait to get before you give. (Should I repeat that)!
  • Give your gift no matter what the circumstance looks like. Ask God, "What can I give?"
  • If you want to succeed, help someone else succeed.
  • Give your best whether you're appreciated or not. I like to say, "Be free from the world."
  • As you give whatever you need will come to you. This is the truth with a capital T.
These are just a few points I picked up from Reverend Ramsey's talk. After service, ShaRon and I attended a prosperity workshop where more "pearls of wisdom" was shared. It was truly a blessed day.

Blessing,

Jacqueline
