The Lupus Foundation walk was last Saturday.  DeCarla and I crossed the finish line with flying colors. We were both disappointed that the walk was only 3 miles instead of 5; we were ready to go the distance.

The event was a huge success in that there was a great turnout of runners and walkers. The organizers did an awesome job; there was great music, refreshments, and fabulous prizes from a raffle. The purpose for the event was to raise awareness and money for all those living with Lupus. Both were accomplished; $48,000+ was raised. We had a great day and it was for a worthy cause.
