"Talkin is Not the Same as Doin



One of my dear friends, who has made her transition, coined the above phrase "talkin is not the same as doin." She was way ahead of her time in many ways. Ms. Lillian was talking about self-care and health way back in the day when I was a teenager. Many of us called her Dr. Lil because she'd send us to the health food store for various herbal remedies. I'm saying all this to say that I've talked about how walking is one of my favorite exercises but wanted you to know that I actually practice what I preach. I'm participating in a 5K walk next Saturday, October 6th, to raise money for the Lupus Foundation. A sista-friend, DeCarla, & I are walking together to support her daughter-in-law and others who live with Lupus.
