According to the American Cancer Society, in the United States breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women. Over a woman's lifetime, there is one in eight chance she will get breast cancer. For men, the risk is much lower---about one in 1,000. Breast cancer is a highly curable disease if detected and treated early.
