Organic Only

Whenever possible, eating fresh produce is the best way to get the nutrients that contribute to optimum health. Unfortunately, pesticides used on many crops remain a major health concern. By choosing organic foods, you can minimize yourself and your family to potentially harmful chemicals. Pesticides present a health risks particularly to children and those with health concerns.

According to the EWG (Environmental Working Group) common growing practices make the crops listed below the most likely to contain higher pesticide residues so they recommend you buy them if they're organically grown:
  • Apples
  • Strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Celery
  • Peaches
  • Spinach
  • Sweet bell peppers
  • Nectarines
  • Cucumbers
  • Potatoes
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Hot peppers
Also on the list - Kale/collard greens & Summer squash

All the information I provide is to help you make informed choices. I know it can be difficult to monitor everything you eat, especially when you work and have a family. Another factor in attempting to eat a healthier diet is the cost---organic foods are more costly. I encourage you to eat as healthy as possible. It will pay off in the long-run.

Self-care = Self love.
