Breast Cancer Awareness - Men & Breast Cancer

I didn't realize that men can get breast cancer too. They have breast tissue that develops in the same way as breast tissue in women.

In girls, hormonal changes at puberty cause female breasts to grow. The hormones in young boys prevent the breasts from growing, making breast breast cancer in men uncommon.

Men are getting involved in the breast cancer awareness movement as co-survivors or breast cancer patients themselves.

Self-care = self love.
