Become what I call an energy conservationist. Be mindful of how and with whom you use your most valuable, non-retrievable resource. I'm not talking about "kickin" people to the curb, I'm just sayin some people may warrant a front row seat in your life while others may need to sit in the balcony. TD Jakes says that many people are in our lives for a season. I like to say, "Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is not take people past the mission they're on." There should always be reciprocity in relationships. If you notice that you feel drained and depleted after being in a persons company then you may want to re-evaluate their seating position; are they front row or balcony? Spend more time with the people who elevate, inspire and bring joy to your life. Its just another way to contribute to your self-care life-style. The saying that life is short is true. We are here to contribute and be contributed too. Use your energy wisely.
