8 Ways to Create D.I.V.A Downtime - #5

Nourish your mind, body & spirit from inside to the skin-side. Most of us have heard the phrase "Eat to Live, not Live to Eat." The body is miraculous in that it is designed to self-heal. I continue to be amazed at just how intricate the body systems are and how much our bodies do in spite of all the ill-treatments they receive. If we gave as much attention to our internal selves as we do the external, I think we'd all be surprised at how much more energy & vitality we'd have, how much better we could feel and look. I was shocked to read that our bodies are designed to last at least 100 years.

Living proof of this is an article I read on my Yahoo page. Ms. Besse Cooper is the world's oldest person according to the Guinness World Records; she's 116-years-old. I'm not saying I'd want to live to be 116-years-old but the fact that's its possible is fascinating. Ms Cooper was born in 1896 and was quoted as saying her secret was, "I mind my own business and don't eat junk food." The article didn't say anything else about her diet but whatever she's doing, it's working for her, OK!
