Do the Right Thing

Many of us already know what to do. It's the doing that's the issue! To make things easier on yourself and your family try to have healthier food choices on hand. Have fresh fruit available for snacks instead of chips and cookies. As much as possible, prepare your own meals as opposed to the "drive through". It may be convenient but it takes a serious toll on your health. If you have a family, eat together whenever possible and not in front of the television. If you're single, like me, set the table for yourself (napkin, nice glass for your beverage, etc.) It can really make the meal more enjoyable. I'm currently practicing not eating in front of the TV myself. I read that it contributes to better digestion and you eat less since you're focused on your food. Remember, you are what you eat so do your best to make healthy choices. Nurture yourself from the inside to the skin-side.
