Getting enough rest is something I continue to struggle with. I don't really require a lot of sleep but my doctor tells me I need to get a minimum of 7-8 hours for my health. While we're sleeping the body has a chance to replenish itself so adequate, restful sleep is very important. When you're anxious or not getting enough sleep, cortisol, the "stress hormone" reduces collagen; collagen keeps the skin firm (that's where the term beauty rest comes in). Aim for eight quality hours to insure overall well-being from the inside to the skin-side.
